    Al Lloyd is a native of the inner city of Chicago's Westside. His family's American roots, sprang from the Mississippi Delta. He started preaching the Gospel of Christ in 1979. His first pastoral experience began with the Mount Zion Baptist Church of Hodges Park, Illinois in 1980. Minister Lloyd serves as pastor of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church of Chicago. He has also served as African American Church Development Consultant with the Chicago Metropolitan Baptist Association (CMBA) and as vice president of the African American Baptist Pastors Fellowship of Chicago. He founded Faith Concerns Ministries (FCM).

    Al received his bachelor of science degree from the University of Texas at Dallas, and his master degree from the Trinity Evangelical Divinity School of Deerfield, Illinois. He continues post-graduate studies in Chicago. He was awarded the distinguished Army Commendation Medal for honorable military service to this country. He is the published author of Enter To Face the Dragon and numerous booklets.

     Al is married to the former Linda Winston. Linda is a graduate of Illinois State University with a bachelor of science degree in Audiology. A former flight attendant, Linda is a successful entrepreneur with a work history in corporate training and import/export. She is also an accomplished motivational speaker in both Christian and secular arenas. Linda has served as a youth ministry instructor and currently is president of her Titus 2 Sisterhood ministry. She has written a booklet entitled, She's God's Lady First.

    Al and Linda are parents to 3 children, Matthew, Robert and Haley. They have traveled around the world to places that include Israel, Paris, Belgium, and the Caribbean.

     Al has provided chaplain services to numerous hospitals in Chicago. Al also served as a volunteer chaplain's assistant with the United States Army.

    Al is a cousin of Soul Stirrer, Sam Cooke.
